About Us
Situated on the outskirts of Otterbourne and close to Chandler's Ford, Brendoncare Otterbourne HIll is a modern, airy, spacious care home providing quality nursing, respite and dementia care.
The care home was one of the first in the UK to integrate three services on one site - a care home, apartments for single people and couples living with dementia and a community hub. The care home's 64 ensuite bedrooms are arranged into smaller households of 16 bedrooms across four households, offering a family-like environment. All bedrooms have a 24-hour nurse call system and ensuite shower rooms, which are fully accessible for wheelchairs. There are also assisted bathrooms close to all the bedrooms. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard, but residents are welcome to bring their own furniture and belongings to personalise their rooms, making it feel familiar and homely.
To support residents and hub users living with dementia, the building incorporates dementia-friendly features such as lighting, contrast of colours, orientation and security features to help them feel secure and find their way around safely indoors and out.
There is also an extensive range of comfortable lounge and elegant dining areas, a winter garden, a thriving community space for activities and gatherings, hair salon, a library with a wide selection of books, café and shop. Patios overlooking our large landscaped well-stocked gardens including a sensory garden provide ideal places to entertain guests or to relax.
Brendoncare Otterbourne Mews is the development of 20 apartments for rent that provide reassurance, support and flexibility to those living with dementia.
