Red Oaks Care Community

Red Oakes Care Community is a purpose built care home located in the peaceful Forest Town close to Clipstone and within easy reach to Sherwood Forest. Red Oakes was built in 1993. Following a recent extension in 2025 Red Oakes now offers 60 bedrooms including 17 newly developed state of the art rooms with modern ensuite facilities. The environment has been thoughtfully designed to provide both comfort and practicality, supporting residents to feel safe and relaxed and more importantly at home. Red Oaks Care Community offers a warm and supportive environment for you or your loved one, our home is designed to promote comfort, independence, and quality of life.

We welcome residents who are self-funding, funded by the Local Authority (with or without top-up), and those eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC).

Our experienced team provide a wide range of tailored care, including residential, nursing, dementia, and specialist support for conditions such as diabetes, frailty, Parkinson's, heart disease, stroke, and sensory impairments. We also offer sensitive end-of-life care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times. Our teams focus is around quality of care to ensure that we continue to make everyday memories.

Residents enjoy a fulfilling life, with activities such as bingo, sing a longs arts and crafts and gardening we provide both individual and group outings. Our home features a beautiful garden, hair salon, and quiet areas for relaxation. Mealtime experience is positive, with resident choice menus and options for meals in your own room or on a private terrace or garden if you chose. We welcome pets and encourage residents to personalise there own room for that homely touch.
Communal spaces within the home includes a large welcoming lounge on the ground floor, encouraging social interaction and a sense of community. There is a quieter lounge on the first floor which provides additional space for relaxation. The home also benefits from 2 courtyards offering pleasant safe spaces for residents and there families to enjoy fresh air and spend time outdoors.

Red Oaks has excellent accessibility with lifts, wheelchair access, assisted bathrooms, and wet rooms. Our amenities include WiFi throughout, daily newspapers, free on-site parking, and a laundry service.
