Robinson Specialist Care

Robinson Specialist Care is the specialist home and community care service delivered under Your Medical Services. We provide person-centred support to adults with complex and specialist care needs, enabling them to live as safely, independently and meaningfully as possible in their own homes and communities.

Our services are designed around each person rather than a standard model of care. We work closely with the individual, their family, commissioners, case managers, healthcare professionals and wider support networks to develop a carefully assessed and responsive care package.

Support can include:

Personal care and support with daily living
Medication support
Support with mobility, transfers and physical disabilities
Assistance with nutrition, hydration and meal preparation
Community access and participation in meaningful activities
Support to attend appointments, education, employment or social activities
Companionship and support to maintain independence
Support following hospital discharge or a change in circumstances
Complex and delegated healthcare tasks, where these fall within our regulated scope and staff have received the appropriate training and competency assessment
Individually designed packages ranging from scheduled visits to more intensive or extended support

Every package begins with a detailed assessment of the person’s needs, preferences, communication requirements, risks and desired outcomes. We then carefully match an appropriate team of care professionals and provide them with the training, guidance and clinical oversight required to deliver the service safely.

Our approach is based on dignity, choice, consistency and collaboration. The people we support are encouraged to participate in decisions about their care, including how their support is provided and, wherever possible, the selection of the team supporting them.
