Overview

“Eastern Healthcare Ltd provides care that treats people as individuals recognizing that people matter most. We believe in making a difference to people’s lives and putting them at the heart of everything we do.”

St Edmunds is a home where feelings matter most. Our home is stimulating and filled with items of interest for people to engage with.
We promote the need for people to be encouraged to make their own decisions and maintain control of their own lives; to feel free, safe and emotionally secure. We provide comfort and a sense of belonging and purpose.
We offer sensitive support with personal care from our committed team who are passionate about enabling, empowering and enhancing the well-being of the people who live with us. Our team are accepting of an individual’s own reality and can connect in meaningful communication with people.
An important part of our philosophy is to provide unique, individual and person-centred care.
People with dementia have the right to live an ordinary life in accommodation that meets their individual needs.
The home offers an approach based on people’s strengths that is both flexible and positive enabling residents to live as independently as possible. Individual choice is encouraged and living skills enhanced in order to promote engagement in purposeful activities such as daily living skills, education and retirement. We recognise that everyone has personal qualities, talents, abilities, interest, achievements, capabilities, dreams and wishes. We empower residents to take a lead in their care and support with greater attention to creativity, emotional wellbeing and flexibility.

We respect people’s privacy, dignity, independence and their right of choice. Care plans are established from an individual assessment and tailor made to meet the individual’s needs.
The people who live with us, their families and friends all work in partnership with the assessment and planning process.
Above all, we strive to create a home where people and feelings matter most.
