About Us

1. INTRODUCTION
Castle Mercy Healthcare Services Ltd is approved by CQC to provide the quality services for individual in need of supported independent living and personal care.
Our management team will ensure that this commitment underpins every aspects of what our services reflects in relations to our business culture and values for continuous development of all our care support workers and registered manager.
We are aware that some service users may have behaviour that challenge the care support workers, therefore, Castle Mercy Healthcare already has policy and procedure including training for all workers to understand and attend to individual needs of service user to ensure safety while on duty but, report immediately to the registered manager in case of any emergency and situation to which workers cannot manage.
Our quality system will ensure that we obtain regular feedback from service users and other stakeholders to support our continuous improvement towards meeting our legal and business obligations in a manner that meet the health and well-being of all our service users.
Service user bands: Age =18 +
2. EFFECTIVE SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICES-Our initial assessment procedure ensure that we can develop care and support plan according to individual needs, value, wishes and preferences that will be documented and the record will be kept safe and secured with access to authorised person only.
Castle Mercy Healthcare will ensure effective supported living services and (if required) a personal care service by operating processes to ensure that care and support for each service user is informed by a care plan which records sufficient information to provide an individualised planned services to meet each service user needs, health and well-being.
The care plan for individual will indicate previous life journey, personal histories and advance direction for progress toward independent.
3. MENTAL HEALTH CAPACITY-The registered manager will ensure that service user with little or no mental capacity can have access to social services, GP, or other representative in the capacity of advocacy to represent the service's opinion during the development of care and support plan and to meet the mental capacity act (2008) as well as during regular reviews to update the care and support plan which will reflect any change in the condition of service user or any new development in supported living and care sector.
4. TOWARD INDIVIDUAL INDEPENDENT
The assessment of needs will be carried out with the consent and participation of the service users, their families and other health and social care professionals by using a prescribed form to record the needs, choice, wishes and health conditions of the service user as well as the equipment and skills required to meet the service user's needs with kindness and compassion.
Castle Mercy Healthcare will support service users to develop the ability for personalising their rooms according to individual choice by working with individual in a person centred approach for individual to be in control of their lives as appropriate.
We ensure that service users are supported to live their lives in the way they choose such as, making their own meals and drinks in relations to their religious, cultural and other requirements by providing the right and sufficient dietary information for healthy eating.
We encourages individual to make choice of bed, Bed sheets, room arrangement as they preferred and making use of individual capability to become independent.
5. EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION- Our Equality and Diversity policies and procedures includes management process for responding to discrimination practice in our settings and our anti-discrimination policy for protecting individual from discrimination and harassment including people with protected characteristics met the CQC requirement.
We ensure compliance with Equality Act 2010 by ensuring that service users are treated with empathy, dignity, and respect at all times irrespective of their medical needs, physical needs, social needs, intellectual needs, care treatment, ethnicity, religion, culture, disability, race, gender, individual identity, gender orientation, education level, and LGBTQ+ etc. All our staff members are well-trained to attend to the needs of service.
We recruits staff according to demand for us to be able to deploy care support workers to meet the right number required for service users.
Castle Mercy Healthcare will ensure that support care workers will be suitable, available and sufficient throughout the contracted hours.
We are aware of all obligations to meet our legislative requirements and Health and Social Care Standards such as health and safety (HASAW Act 1974), equality, confidentiality, employment act, safeguarding, data protection as approved by ICO etc.
We also develop benchmark for individual care workers to perform their task according to best practice in care sector.

About The Team

Our team is fully DBS checked to ensure safe and responsible recruitment. Infection Prevention and Control training is completed and kept up to date across the workforce. Care and support can be provided in Somali, and Yoruba to promote clear communication and understanding. Further details about the team are available upon request.
